health is a term relative to the data being examined ( ie : your thyroid vs anyone else's ) anyone else may gauge health in this manner. spirituality is something we may quantify and qualify only for our selves. the admonition to " judge not...lest ye be judged " is applicable here. are someone's thoughts literally un-healthy ? are we to stand in judgement over anyone else's communion with spirit ? flaggellation, prostration, crusade / inquisition, etc are all things we do in the interest of spirituality...whether or not those things are deemed healthy is dependent on which side of the sword / pew we choose to reside. as they say " feed a cold...starve a fever....never argue with a true believer ". this is releveant whether we are discussing vaccination / germ theory or tithing. know thyself. know acception. peace.

what is familial ? how are we communing ? intentional commune-ities are spread across the globe. folks of like-mindedness ( birds of common feather )  have always found a place to flock together. how well do you know your neighbors ? saints and psychos alike live next-door to somebody. the benefit of inquiry ( there is none in doubt ) may prove the allegiance or dissention in any group of animals. the grass is green everywhere....why do we insist on fences ? what role do rolls play in your life ? know acception. peace.

spirit works and plays in equanimity. prostrating oneself makes one no more a buddhist than standing in a garage makes one a car. know acception. peace.

rights are granted to us by other people. freedom means knowing thine self....and holding to that with unwavering allegiance. folks who live in, say, myannmar have personal freedom. they may do as they choose and, in some cases, suffer the dire consequence of their tyrannical regime. in the " free " world, we may also do as we wish. yet we have watch-dog groups like the NAACP, ACLU etc. etc. to attempt the ever daunting task of policing the " fairness " of accusation / litigation....blah....blah....blah. we use the term " martyr " to describe someone who, in the face of death, held fast to their beliefs and was killed for them. for what are you willing to die ? for what are you willing to kill ? the revolutionary war ( betwixt the american colonists and the not-so-UK ) was one of many examples of the people " sticking it to the Man ". know acception. peace.

my wife. as a chiropractor, acupuncturist and nutritionist she toils daily in the quagmire of the modern human-animal. many folks ignore the lifestyle choices that she recommends and / or condemns. all the while, those same folks complain about the incidence of the very ills those choices foster / provoke. through it all, she remains vigilant that some-how, some-way, these souls will recognize their folly and heed the advice they so willingly pay for....and routinely ignore. know acception. peace.

musical intruments. archeologists recently announced that the world's oldest known musical instument had been discovered. something on the order of 40,000 years ago, someone decided that the sound coming from a rib-bone flute was pleasing or @ the very least, worth repeating. the distinction between " noise " and " music " is the quintessential example of the saying " there is no accounting for taste ". from bach to metallica and everywhere in-between, we have taken the notion of sound and produced the notion of music. and music, as the elders tell us, " hath the power to soothe the savage beast.
